About Ballew's Hitch, Truck & RV

With 65 years of experience, Ballew's Hitch, Truck & RV is a third generation, family owned business operating in Tacoma, WA. The company is known for providing quality products and selling and installation of towing products.

In 1945, Thomas Ballew started the business of welding and trailer frame. He soon realized the need for a business that wholly dedicated to the young and growing RV industry. Later in 1948, he opened Ballew’s Welding & Trailer on South Tacoma, WA.
Hitch

Over the Years

In 1960, Tom brought his three sons, Bob, Dave, and Dick into the business. In 1987, the grandson of Tom, Keven, was introduced to the business as well.

In the mid 60’s, the business grew and expanded and they started a new manufacturing company named Tork Lift. This company used to build camper accessories and weight distribution hitches and in 1983, an exhaust shop was opened.

Secret to Success

After the retirement of Tom in 1975, Bob became the president of the company. After the hit in RV industry, Bob made the decision to scale back from manufacturing and muffler work and focus on the root business i.e. towing equipment. Bob retired in 2009.

Today, Keven is the owner of the company and handling the business. The company offers excellent customer service and help people getting quality towing equipment, hitches, and tow bars.
